We have a special guest speaker for NQTA's Gathering for Monday November 14 at 6 o'clock at OIC.
DCR N.Quabbin Regional Forester Fletcher Clark will be educating us the valuable role of a experienced forester has in managing and protecting our lands .
Fletcher as the DCR Forester has a special role in ensuring and enforcing proper land management .
We met Fletcher as he was fufulling this role for a private landowner that had received bad harvesting work and Fletcher was mediating a positive results. (mission accomplished)
Fletcher stepped out if his role and assisted NQTA in ensuring the ' Red Polka Dot Access Trail' was ready in time for use at the Garlic Festival.
Out on the trail NQTA is closing in on the completion of the Q2C grant requirements for a prototype trails map and guide of the now over 200 mile Q+M Trail , we will be unveiling the trackline.
NQTA's new Secretary Tammy Goodjion is now leading the Challenge Mobility team with a new newsletter that we also will be unveiling. (outstanding job thanks Tammy ! )
We have now started a collaberation with the Carson Center for Traumatic brain injury and are taking their group out on Challenge Mobilty hikes as well as longer hikes.
NQTA has also been working with Mount Grace on stewardship of the Gifford property along the Tully ,
coincidently with new Masslift Americorp also named Fletcher ( Harrington ) .
Mount Grace is continually bringing in these talented and educated young people to better our region , thanks Mount Grace !!
There will be a opening Saturday November 11th at 10 o'clock to dedicate this beautiful new fishing and picnic spot in honor of Sen.Wetmore .
The location is just past Noels nursery on Tully rd.
So please bring those ' Delicious Dishes' and some fluids and I hope you will join us for this upcoming Monday Gathering .
