During the past few months, plastic straw bans have been in the news, as they have passed in several cities.
Disabled people have been almost wholly ignored in the discussions and debates about the environment and what we should do to reduce our impact on our earth. As a proud member of the lgbtq+ community, Pride Month has always meant a lot to me. It's a month to celebrate the milestones our community has made over the years, and to gather courage and strength for the challenges we will still face in the future. It's a time to remind all of us that we need to work together for a better world for the next generation - a world in which love wins.
