Hello Tuesday Trekkers ,
Wow what a pounding we are taking out there on the trails with this March harsh snow weather.
The trails are rough, uneven and frozen and the miles come hard right now. Mt Watatic could be a dangerous experience and I think we have a good safe and enjoyable alternative for this week.
Let's go to stretch our legs and the dogs on a 6-mile section of the country road walk of the Q+M.
This is a level, scenic and comfortable walk where we can all get a few miles in.
Very dog friendly.
Meet at the YMCA at 9 or so people that know this area we will be assembling at Gate 29 of the Quabbin in New Salem and we will be spotting cars after that but we will be meeting at Gate 29
Celts at Bears Den which is part of this country road walk
Hey Hiking Friends

Thanks to John for last week's hike and Happy Trails to my friends.
Tomorrow we will be hiking Hermit's Cave in Farley (Erving). It is a fairly strenuous 4-5 miles. Although it is going to be beach weather, PLEASE bring your micro spikes. The trail head is is on Holmes Rd. off of rte. 2A.
