Hey Hikers- Tomorrow we will be hiking Wendell Forest. It is an easy to moderate 3-4 mile hike. The trailhead will be Diamond's Farm where we will order lunch before the hike.
As always we will meet at the Y at 9:00

Hey Hikers- Tomorrow we will be doing the Red Bridge Trail at Bearsden. It is a easy- moderate 3-4 mile hike. The red cardinal flowers are in bloom. The trailhead is the main parking lot at Bearsden or as always we will meet at the Y at 9:00.
We will discuss the upcoming hikes that are a bit of a distance away. Also, there will be signups for volunteers for the Garlic Festival parking.

WEDNESDAY TRAILBLAZING AND STEWARDSHIP EVENTS
A lot of heavy machine work has been done and the T Brouillet access road had been re cut down to the trail
Thanks to the outstanding job done by Billy Wheeler and his backhoe
We could really use your help as we now start to build the footpath
Those that know the worksite can meet up there at 9:15 Wednesday morning

Others can meet at MREC at 9 o'clock
We also have a Stewardship Project on Saturday September 13th at Gap Mnt in N.H.
We will be doing are yearly stewardship work with the N.H. crews
We will be doing very interesting and educational rock sculpture work
This is a great opportunity for NQTA with collaboration with our N.H. neighbors and your help would be greatly appreciated
Last we will be doing the Garlic Festival parking lot again this year on September 27 and 28th and this is a critical collaboration with the Garlic Festival who will be providing us with a booth
So if you can make it we need as many people as we can gather
Your significant others and family members are welcome to join in
This is a fun partnership event with some cool perks
I will be running the booth so will be having a lead person on each day to report in to

Wednesday Trailblazing is canceled tomorrowdue to impending storm
Tomorrow we will be going for an out of town adventure to Chester Ma on the Keystone bridge hike led by Allen Young
It's an hour and half drive 5 mile moderate hike
Pack lunches , summer wear and plenty of fluids
A major change is we are meeting at the YMCA at 8 o'clock !!!
See you tomorrow for a new adventure
Tuesday Trekkers will take us to the new PM Red /Blue Dot trail in east Bearsden
It is a moderate 5 mile hike taking us to Newton Reservoir, Buckman brook and down to the shelter at the Millers River
Parking is new and limited so let's all meet up at the YMCA at 9 o'clock
Wednesday Trailblazing day will be continuing on the T Brouillet project
We have made large strides , and this trail will truly benefit our community
A special shout out to Billy Wheeler and his tractor
Billy knows how to make a country road and has volunteered his services to bring true trail sustainability on a road that will be available for Fire , Emergency and Maintance
Fire Chief Richard Stevens of Phillipston did a site visit and is actively involved with the collaboration
It has been quite a sight to see this type of trail clearing operation
So hope to see you all on the trail this beautiful summer week
